Lynn Marie Leblanc

October 16, 1924 — February 3, 2013

Lynn Marie LeBlanc, Nana died peacefully on February 3, 2013 surrounded by family. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. She was an accomplished cook, artist and gardener but mostly she was the worlds best wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lynns friends enjoyed many hours at her kitchen table where she loved entertaining. Her children and grandchildren have fond memories of her cooking and humming in the kitchen. Lynn was born October 16, 1924 in Houston, TX and grew up in Porte Barre and Crowley, LA. She has been a resident of Sulphur since 1946. She was a lifelong volunteer. She was a founding member of NAMI of Southwest LA, a charter member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, a member of the Alter Guild and former Youth Choir Director at Holy Trinity. She was also a leader of Camp Fire Girls groups for a number of years. Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Percy LeBlanc, her mother, Fay Mequet, and her father, Victor Barraco. She is survived by five daughters, Cathy Granger (Leroy); Patricia LeBlanc (special friend, Ray Stein); Vicki Porter (Dennis); Peggy Silverman (Jack); Barbara Bonner (Reggie). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and her good friend and sister-in-law, Polly Moss. Visitation will be at Robison Funeral Home, Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A service is scheduled at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Father Jim Benbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss, LA. The family requests donations to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church or St. Judes Hospital in Lynns name.
