Mabel Leviner

November 2, 1934 — March 9, 2023

On Thursday, March 9th, 2023, Mabel Leviner went to be with her Lord and Savior. Mabel was born on November 2, 1934, in Eunice, Louisiana. She was a devoted wife and mother, as well as a loving grandmother. She was a beautiful Christian role model for her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

As a young married woman, she lived in France before residing in Lake Charles. She was a long time member of Sale Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was involved in church activities. For the last few years, she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Donna Janies Tilley (Terry) of Lake Charles; her son, Clay Janies of Lake Charles; her beloved grandchildren, Beau Tilley of Lake Charles, Lance Tilley of League City, Texas, and Seth Tilley of Lake Charles; her great-grandson, Landon Tilley of Sulphur and one sister, Sybil Soileau of Lake Charles.

She was proceeded in death by her first husband, Allen Janies; her second husband, Hillary Leviner; her father, Sidney Joseph Doucet and her mother, Clementine Matte; seven siblings, Dennis Doucet, Sidney Doucet Jr., Preston Doucet, Behrman Doucet, Viola Nearhood, Vida Guillory and Nelson Doucet. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Prien Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Henry Iatesta will officiate.
