Mac Lynn DeWittt, 55, of Lanagan, Missouri, died on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in a care facility.
Mack was born on June, 14 1957 in Lake Charles, La to John and Martha DeWitt. He loved traveling the country from state to state; finally settling in Lanagan, Missouri with his brother, John Sherman. His passions in life included gardening, fishing, and listening to gospel music. He also enjoyed Community Coffee and eating crawfish.
He is survived by two brothers Rev. Roger DeWitt and Georgeann of Houston, Texas, and John Sherman and wife Verna of Lanagan, Missouri; four sisters Ethel Broussard and husband Ruben of Sulphur, La, Gloria Faulk and husband Gerald from Hammond, La, Ora Jane Carroll and husband Charles from Sulphur, La, Cherry DeWitt Bebee from Lake Charles, La.
Mr. DeWitt is preceded in death by his parents John and Martha DeWitt and one sister Zelma Darlene DeWitt.
Pallbearers include, Charles Carroll, Ryan Carroll, Ken Broussard, Todd Broussard, Bob Rust, Randy Lejeune, Austin Broussard, and Brennan Ardoin.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 20, 2012 at 12:00 PM in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger DeWitt officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM Monday until time of services at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
