Madelyn Delony

Madelyn Marie LeBlanc Delony, 80, of Houston, TX, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 in a Houston area hospital.

Mrs. Delony was born December 6, 1941 in Lake Charles, LA and was a 1961 graduate of St. Charles Academy.  She married her high school sweetheart, Henry Davis Delony, III, shortly after graduation.  She followed his career in the oil field, even living in Dubai for several years where she taught arts and crafts in school.  Mrs. Delony settled in Houston, TX over twenty years ago and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.  She had a love for pets of any type, enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, playing games on the computer, and was an excellent card player.  She will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Delony is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Dave Delony of Houston, TX; children, Laura Franklin and husband Kyle of Houston, Andy Delony and husband Brendan Robert of Harold, TX and Catherine Glauser and fiancé Brad Williams of Austin, TX; brother, Edwin “Speedy” LeBlanc and wife Yvonne of Youngsville, LA; grandchildren, Tyler Bergeron, Kayla Coreil (Cory), Andy Delony-Robert (Jackie), Jean-Luc Delony-Robert (Chris), Brendan Delony-Robert, Dylan Glauser, and Kim Delony-Robert; two great-grandchildren on-the-way; nephew and Godson, Kevin Chaumont; and numerous other nieces, nephews and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mercedes and Emmett LeBlanc, Sr.; son, Davy Delony; brother, Emmett LeBlanc, Jr.; sister, Marlene Chaumont; and great-grandchild, Connor Bergeron.

Her funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.  Monsignor Daniel Torres will officiate.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at University Baptist Church on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will continue at University Baptist Church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:40 AM.
