Mae B. Gary

Mae Agnes Broussard Gary, 96, of Lake Charles, LA died at 1:38 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.

Mrs. Gary was born March 26, 1916 in Lake Arthur, LA, lived in Iowa for ten years and has lived in Lake Charles since 1950. She worked as a Nurse's Aide at St. Patrick Hospital from 1959 to 1979 and then as a Private Duty Sitter until 2001. She loved to read the Bible and enjoyed crocheting. Mrs. Gary was a member of Eastwood Pentecostal Church.

Mrs. Gary is survived by her sons, Tim H. Gary and wife Debbie and Phil Gary, all of Lake Charles; daughter, Alice Berges of Liberty, TX; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Asa Gary, Sr.; son, Asa Gary, Jr.; and grandson, Adrian Ray Gary.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
