Maedell Hayes

MaeDell Hayes, 77, of Lake Charles, LA died Monday, June 4, 2012 in a local care facility.

Ms. Hayes was born in Lake Arthur, LA and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She loved being surrounded by her friends and family.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, John H. Landry , Jr. and wife Dawn of Lafayette; daughter, Lillian Thigpen; granddaughters, Loretta Sonnier and husband Patrick, Amber Landry, Jacquelyn Landry, and Jennifer Landry; grandson, Stephen Paul Landry; step grandson, Aaron LaFleur; great grandsons, Sebastian and Gavin Sonnier; niece, Marie Toney and fiance', Alfred Meaux, Jr.; and her loving companion of 30 years, John "Pop" Kellerman.

Ms. Hayes was preceded in death by her loving husbands, John H. Landry, Sr. and Dean A. Hayes, Sr., and one son, Dean A. Hayes, Jr.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and on Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time. Reverend Rick Rodriguez will officiate.
