Marc Antoine St. Germain, 81, of Lake Charles, LA died at 8:10 AM on Monday, May 20, 2013 in a local hospital.
Mr. St. Germain was born May 2, 1932 in Bakerbrook, New Brunswick, Canada. He served as a member of the Royal Canadian Armed Services Engineering Battalion during the Korean War. He settled in Lake Charles in 1975, working as a business man, owning a plastic company for a number of years. He retired at the age of 76 from Zapata / Omega Protein Plant, where he was the production manager. He became a US citizen in June 1999. Mr. St. Germain was a member of The Father's House and will always be remembered as a jack-of-all-trades; from carpentry to electrical, he could do anything that he put his mind to.
Mr. St. Germain is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Shirley Davis St. Germain of Lake Charles; sons, Donald St. Germain and life partner, James Giddings, Curtis St. Germain and wife Paula, all of Springfield, MA and Marcus St. Germain and wife Aarika of Houston, TX; daughters, Mandy Alexis and husband Jeremiah of Houston, TX and Michelle St. Germain of Lake Charles; brother-in-law and best friend, Raymond Martin of Edmunston, New Brunswick; grandchildren, Courtney, Melissa, Donovan, Karlen, Morgan, Mariah, Marc-Joseph, Dylan, Micah, and Maverick; and great-grandchildren, Damien, Cameron, Olivia, and Stella; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Denise St. Germain; four sisters; and five brothers.
His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Michael Honore' will officiate. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
