Marcellus Allen DeVillier, 50, of Moss Bluff, LA, passed away on March 3, 2021 in his residence after a difficult battle with Diabetes.
Marcellus was born August 15, 1970 in New Iberia, LA and lived most of his life in the Lake Charles / Moss Bluff areas. He was a 1988 graduate of LaGrange High School and retired from Union Pacific Railroad. Marcellus was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Lake Charles, where he was previously part of the Monday night men’s prayer group. He loved spending time outdoors, enjoyed tinkering, could fix anything and will always be remembered for his fun loving, free-spirited nature.
Marcellus is survived by his five children, Ethan Clay DeVillier and fiancée Natasha Grapes of England, Patrick Allen DeVillier, Aaron Michael DeVillier, Anna Kathryn DeVillier, and Hannah Joy DeVillier, all of Tennessee; daughter-at-heart, Alisha Renee Rivas; brothers, Danny DeVillier and wife Dana and Robert DeVillier and wife Tarinda; and sister, Victoria Brown and husband Hoyt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Danny DeVillier, Sr. and Martha Thompson DeVillier.His memorial service will be at 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at First Pentecostal Church of Lake Charles. Reverend Jeffery Ralston will officiate. A gathering of family members and friends will be at the church on Thursday from 3:00 PM until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with expenses.
