Marcia Ann Newton

Marcia Ann Newton, 67, of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at a local hospital. 

Mrs. Newton was born on December 18, 1948, in Crowley but lived most of her life in Lake Charles.  She graduated from Maurice High School.  She was a loved beautician who was exceptional at her job.  She was an excellent cook, and will be remembered for her caring nature.  She devoted her life and her love to her husband, children, and especially her grandchildren.  Mrs. Newton was a long time member of Sale Street Baptist Church. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 24 years, David Newton, two sisters Susan Hoffpauir and Karen Daigle (Mervin), 3 stepchildren Dean Newton (Sarah), Laura Hiatt (James), and Justin Newton,  8 grandchildren Hunter Newton, Hannah Newton, Jeremiah Hiatt, Marley Hiatt, Selah Hiatt, Michelle Newton, Madeline Newton, and Amelia Newton, plus many other loving nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ufford and Pearl Hoffpauir.  Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Indian Bayou United Methodist Church.  Rev. Randy Edwards will officiate.  Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday from 5 – 8 pm.
