Margaret Ann David Benoit

Margaret Ann David Benoit, 82, passed away at her residence on September 2, 2018 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She was born on February 27, 1936 in Lacassine, LA to Ramie and Alta David.

She was a prayerful lady who will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a sounding board to her grandchildren and an excellent cook and seamstress. She was kind and generous and loved everyone unconditionally.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years, Harold James Benoit; daughter, Denise Stillings (Mike) of Lake Charles; sons, Gerald Benoit (Cindy) of Lake Charles and Philip Dale Benoit (Amber) of Jennings; sister, Maydell Mouton of Eufolla, AL; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Nicole Benoit; sister, Dorothy Guzman; and brother, Herman David.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Burial will take place in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home from 5 PM until 8 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.
