Margaret Ann Holland Newman

Margaret Ann Holland Newman, 63, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Newman was a native of Lake Charles and has been a life long resident of the Lake Charles and Iowa area. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with family and friends. She will be most remembered as "Welcoming", as she always had an open heart and open door.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of thirty- five years, Robert E. Newman of Lake Charles; four sons, Chester Newman of Ragley, Brian Bellard of Longville, Edward Holland of Gulf Port, MS and Thomas Newman of Lake Charles; one daughter, Debbie Holland of Iowa; eleven grandchildren, four great- grandchildren; five brothers, J.L. Holland, Floyd Holland, Morris Holland, Donald Holland and Larry Holland and four sisters, Lois Mancil, Betty Marcantel, Mary DeBarge and Teresa Bowling.

She was preceded in death by infant twin boys, Donald and Daniel Newman; one daughter, Maxie Newman; her parents, Eunice and Anna Ardoin Holland; one sister, Mildred "Sis" Thibodeaux and one brother, Rolland Holland.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Gary Evers will officiate. Interment will follow in Hayes Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
