Margaret Roger Beaugh , the daughter of Cleopha Roger and Felonise Savoie Roger, was born May 25, 1920 in Prudhomme, LA and baptized at St. Edmonds Church in Eunice, LA. She passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
A devote Catholic layperson, Mrs. Beaugh enjoyed Mother Angelica's television series on EWTN, prayed the rosary daily, and read from an extensive collected library of hundreds of religious books and articles. She attended innumerable novenas and daily masses as well as Sunday services. She was especially grateful for the opportunity to go on pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Bosnia and was a devoted to Our Lady of Medjugorge.
Mrs. Beaugh was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Christ the King Altar Society, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. In her youth she was a professional beautician and was owner-manager of a small local grocery.
Mrs. Beaugh was survived by three sons, Ronald Lee Beaugh, Johnny Wayne Beaugh, and Kenneth Dean Beaugh, all of Lake Charles; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years, Lee Beaugh; sisters Margurite Roger, Aleda Roger Babineaux, Cora Roger Guillory, Cedia Roger Babineaux, and brother Edvin Roger.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00pm.
Funeral services for Margaret Roger Beaugh, 92, of Lake Charles, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 29, 2013 at Christ the King Church, 7680 Gulf Highway, in Lake Charles. Fr. Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow nearby at Highland Memorial Cemetery, 6325 Common St.
