Margaret Butts

Margaret Irene Butts, 78, passed away on September 18, 2018 at a local hospital.

Mrs. Margaret was born in Woodlawn, LA on March 4, 1940. She was a graduate of Lacassine High School where she was a member of the basketball team. She spent her professional life in banking, starting from Bank Teller and progressing to VP of Loans at Cameron State Bank. She is remembered as a loving grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, James A. Butts; granddaughter, Tabitha Dugas; six great grandchildren, Alexis, Makenzy, and Josh Conner, Karlee, Riley, and Colton Dugas; and a brother, Joseph Miller.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Irene Miller; three sons, Lonnie, Darren, and Terry Dugas; and nine brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2PM. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will follow at Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, September 21 from 5PM to 8PM and will resume on Saturday at 1PM until the start of the service.
