Margaret Elaine Ellison

Margaret Elaine Ellison was born on May 18, 1933 to Jasper and Una Broussard Louviere and passed to be with our Lord and Savior on September 9, 2023.

She leaves behind her six children, Gene Thomas, Sharon Elaine, Arlene Marie, Randall Paul, Gerald Albert, John Edward, and their spouses; godchild, Cheryl Louviere Squire; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Gene Ellison; parents, Jasper and Una Brousard Louviere; sister, Geneva Meyer; infant sister, Mary Louviere; brother, Harold John Louviere; grandson, Dustin Parker; nephew, Arnold “Buddy” Meyer, Jr.; and numerous brother and sister in laws.

She was the matriarch of our family and the strongest and sweetest person you ever wanted to meet. She truly had a loving, caring and kind heart. Margaret was a life-long resident of Welsh, Louisiana and a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. She was an employee of Griffith Lumber Company for 33 years until she retired.

The family would like to thank Golden Age Nursing facility, Heart of Hospice and the numerous loved ones for all the love and care that she received.

A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be observed at 10:00 AM October 14, 2023 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh. There will be a Blessing at Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh following the Mass.
