Margaret Guidry

Margaret Guidry, 60, of Lake Charles passed away at 2:00 AM on Thursday, December 02, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born on March 12, 1950 to the late Taah and Wilton Mott. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, crocheting, playing video games, puzzles and collecting angels and turtles. Margaret loved her family and her dogs, Rocky, Snoopy, and Ginger.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Melvin Guidry; her son, Morris "James" Mott and companion Brandon; her three daughters, Michelle M. Alonzo of Cut Off, LA, Melissa M. Richoux of Cut Off, LA; and Taah M. Guidry and companion Tiffany of Shreveport, LA; two step daughters, Sherry G. Dupuis and husband Ray of Jennings, LA and Diana Guidry of Lake Arthur, LA; her sister, Carolyn M. DarDar of Golden Meadow, LA; and two brothers, David and Richard Mott of LaRose, LA; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Cliffton Mott; a sister, Rena Bouffanie; a grandchild; and her first husband, Larry Richoux.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 5, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Chris Fuselier will officiate. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery in Sulphur, LA. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Sunday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
