Margaret L. Dean

Margaret L. Dean, 83, of Lake Charles died at 1:14 AM on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Dean was a native and life long resident of Lake Charles. She was a graduate of Lake Charles High School where she was a Kiltie. Mrs. Dean was a member of St. Luke Simpson Methodist Church. She also belonged to Beta Sigma Phi and M.M. Embroidery Club.

She enjoyed yard work and was dedicated to her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Kelly Dean of Lake Charles; two sons, Mark K. Dean and wife Elizabeth of Arlington, VA and Chad D. Dean and wife RaeDean of Lake Charles; two daughters, Nita L. Dean of Lake Charles and Gaye L. Coleman and husband Richard of Houston; eight grandchildren, Ann Morris, Karen Sullivan, Scott Dean, Misty Cockrell, Layla Ramzi, and Kelsey, Cameron, and Hannah Coleman; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 14, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Roger Templeton will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
