Margaret Mcfarlain King

July 30, 1926 — April 19, 2012

Margaret McFarlain King, 85 of Sulphur passed away on April 19, 2012 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held on April 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Johnny Mounce officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. LA under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 19, 2012 from 3-9 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 9 a.m. until time of service. Margaret was a native of Evangeline, LA and a longtime Sulphur resident. She was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of LaSallette Catholic Church in Sulphur. Margaret is survived by her son, Murston James McFarlain Jr. and wife, Sue of Dallas, TX; daughter, Allison Lopez and husband, Greg of Sulphur; two step-sons, Richard King and wife, Shawnah and Leonard King and wife, Janice both of TX; step-daughter, Darlene Crawford and husband, Rick of TX; brother, Elbey Miller and wife, Velma of Evangeline, LA; six grandchildren, Shelley LeBlanc and husband, Roger, Stephanie McFarlain, Christine McFarlain, Stephen McFarlain, Trisha Walker and husband, Ben and Traci Prejean; and multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysse and Azelire Miller; her first husband, Murston McFarlain Sr.; her second husband, Ivan King; daughter, Greta Faye McFarlain; and sibling, Burcy, Florence, Sidney, Jesse, Della, and Hazel. The family would like to say a special thank-you to Grand Cove personnel and Brighton Bridge Hospice.
