Margaret Rose Pousson

Margaret Rose Pousson, 77, of Lake Charles died suddenly at her home on August 29, 2018.

Margaret was a native of Eunice, where she graduated from St. Edmunds Academy, and a long-time resident of the Lake Charles area. Margaret was a devout Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church as well as Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Preceding Margaret in death are her parents, Ariel J. and Elta Ardoin Manuel; sister, Pricilla Manuel Jinkins; brother, Cecil Paul Manuel, Sr.; granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Thigpen and Ariel Marie Thigpen.

She leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memories, her beloved husband of 58 years, Joseph Richard Pousson, Sr.; one son, Joseph R. Pousson, Jr. (Len); two daughters, Deborah Campbell (Leon) and Sandra Thigpen Arredondo, all of Lake Charles; sister, Gayle White, Irving, Texas; her beloved grandchildren who she adored, Joseph R., III, Laura, Andrew, and Amy Pousson; Ethan, Sadie, Evan, Sophie, and Jose’ Campbell; Jude, Mason, and Malia Thigpen; Claire Dufrene (Garrett) and Alana Arredondo; and great grandchild, Kyren Campbell.

Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday August 31, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Cursillo Rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:30 AM until leaving for the church at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 10:00 AM Saturday at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Father Nathan Long serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Eunice at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, www.nationalmssociety.org or to the St. Louis Foundation for St. Louis Catholic High School.
