Margaret Thibodeaux

Margaret Young Thibodeaux, 93, of Lake Charles, LA died on Saturday, March 17, 2012 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Thibodeaux loved her church and enjoyed dancing in her younger years and cooking for her family. She adored her grandchildren and always maintained a great sense of humor.

Mrs. Thibodeaux is survived by her sons, Claby Mere, Jr. and wife Julia of Lake Charles, Arcin Mere and wife Joyce of San Antonio, Herbert Thibodeaux and wife Linda of Lake Charles, and Merner Ray Thibodeaux of Lake Charles; daughter, Betty Sonnier and husband Maxie of Lake Charles; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Thibodeaux; her parents; and numerous siblings.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
