For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain Philipians 1:21
Margie Borel LeDoux, 87, was called Home by her Heavenly Father on Monday, April 29, 2013.
The daughter of Paul Adam Borel and Bernice Young Borel, Margie was born in Lake Charles and lived in Beaumont, Texas as a young woman, graduating from Beaumont High School. Upon her marriage after the war, she and her husband moved to San Diego, California. Upon moving back to Lake Charles, Margie was employed by Rider's Jewelers and later by Dr. George Anderson. Her dreams of becoming a dress designer were postponed when Margie and her husband began their family, and she thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker.
Margie had a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ and shared it with all those with whom she came in contact. She desired that others know the joy of salvation in Christ. She was a member of Southern Belles, the mature ladies' fellowship of The Dwelling Place, the church that she attended. She was a gracious and grateful lady who was known as a blessing to others.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Terry M. LeDoux and wife Sylvia of Jennings; one daughter, Denise Leiato and husband George of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Todd LeDoux and wife Aly, Mary Trahan, and Michael Leiato; and great grandchildren, Austin and Juliette LeDoux.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, Alvin M. LeDoux, and brothers, Billy Borel and Paul Adam Borel, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor David Roth will officiate. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
The family extends special thanks to the sitters and staff at Emeritus and Brighton Bridge Hospice who so lovingly cared for their beloved mother.
