Margie Docia Kuttner Hebert, 93, of Lake Charles passed away at 12:12 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2020 while evacuated in Alexandria.
Mrs. Hebert was born on November 20, 1926 in Lake Charles where she lived until moving to Eunice from 1955 to 1968 and returning to Lake Charles. She enjoyed working alongside her husband in their family owned business, Industrial Welding and Supplies. Mrs. Hebert was a member of University United Methodist Church.
Her joy in life was being a wife and mother and taking care of her family. Mrs. Hebert enjoyed sewing clothes for her children. She and her husband were a very giving and welcoming couple who were always willing to help. You could always find a hot meal and open arms in their home.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Ronnie Hebert of Lake Charles, Kay Janca (David) of Lake Charles, Ann Grimm (Art Brooks) of Blanco, TX, Peggy Larson (Kent Golden) of Lake Charles, and Darla Hebert of Lake Charles; six grandchildren, Ami, Robert, Harley II, Ashley, Ryan, and Stephanie; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Harley Hebert; her parents, Docia and Eugene Kuttner, Sr.; and a brother, Eugene Kuttner, Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Marcus Wade will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Methodist Children’s Home in memory of Margie Hebert.
