Margie Broussard Vincent, 81, of Lake Charles died at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in a Beaumont hospital.


Mrs. Vincent was born in Port Arthur, TX on November 7, 1929. She worked as a meat wrapper and deli manager for Weingarten's and Safeway. She was also with the floor staff at CCOA Bingo Hall. Mrs. Vincent was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.


Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53 years, Ronald Vincent; four children and their spouses, Donna Vincent Roa and Victor of Rockville, MD, Karen Perron and Dwayne of Baton Rouge, LA, Julie Matte and Barry of Covington, LA, and Gene Vincent and Denise of Sulphur, LA; her twin sister, Margaret Pellerin of Orangefield, TX; sister, Leonora Hayes of Lake Arthur; grandchildren, Alexander and Gretchen Roa, Kristin and Nick Perron, Miranda Matte Tanner, Maribeth and Olivia Matte, James, Michael, and Tobi Vincent; a great grandchild, Wyatt Tanner; and her dog, Rusty.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Agnes Broussard and six siblings.


A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church. The Rev. Scott Conner will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
