Margo Hawker Rogers

April 23, 1938 — May 15, 2017

Margo Hawker Rogers, 79, of Lake Charles, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, May 15, 2017, in a local hospital.

Born in Kendallville, Indiana to Fred and Mary Hawker, she lived most of her life in Lake Charles. Margo was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love for her family was endless. She never met a stranger and always found the good in everyone. She loved painting Christmas ornaments, figurines and sweaters. Baking lasagna, red velvet cakes and chocolate chip cookies were just a few of her specialties. You would always see her at her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She was definitely a sports fan, calling us on the phone with each team’s schedule. Margo created unforgettable memories for everyone who knew her.

Those left to cherish Margo are her children, Maria Harless(Ted) of Lake Charles, Sean Miguez(James) of Lafayette, Neil Rogers (Darlene) of Lakeland, Florida and
