Marian Anne Roberts

Mrs. Marian Anne Roberts, 78, passed away, Sunday May, 8 2011.

She was born in New Orleans and a resident of Lake Charles since 1955. Mrs. Roberts worked for McNeese State University for 30 years for the Library. She also volunteered at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Roberts was a member of St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church where she was an Eucharistic Minister, Ladies Altar Society, Rosary Group, and member of RCIA Team.

She is survived by her son, John Emory "Jack" Roberts and wife Jennifer of Phoenix, AZ; her daughter, Linda Stuart and husband Roy of Friendswood, TX; six grandchildren, Daniel Stuart of League City, Ashley Stuart of Seagrove Beach, FL, Paul Stuart of Washington, DC, Tommy Stuart of Friendswood, TX, Justin Roberts of Phoenix, AZ; three step- grandchildren, Joshua Parks, Dylan Parks, and Holly Lopez; two step great grandchildren, Makayla Lopez and Kaleb Porter all of Phoenix, AZ.

Preceded in death by her grandson, John E. Roberts Jr.; parents, Velma and Emory Hogsed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 1:00PM in St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5pm-9pm with a rosary at 6pm. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8am until time of service.
