Marian Gertrude Mouton Conner

Marian Gertrude Mouton Conner, 88, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, July 04, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Conner was born in Welsh, LA, raised in Thornwell, LA and was a graduate of Welsh High School. She lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardening. Mrs. Conner took great pride in her family, as she devoted her life and her love to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Patsy Covington and husband Butch of Lake Charles, Kathleen Broussard and husband Earl of Lake Arthur, Robert Conner and wife Lisa of Lake Charles and Vickie Buckels and husband Russell of Lake Charles; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Warren Mouton of Gueyden, LA and Eugene Mouton of New Iberia and one sister, Gardline Vallo of Gueyden.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Earl J. Conner; great-granddaughter, Julianne Covington Guidry; parents, Wilfred and Eula Monceaux Mouton and two brothers, Sonny Mouton and Buddy Mouton.

A private ceremony was held at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Brian King was the officiate. Interment followed in Consolata Cemetery.
