Marian “Tootie” Ledoux Fruge, 90, of Bell City, LA died at 2:29 PM on Friday, January 1, 2016 in her residence.
Mrs. Fruge was born December 22, 1925 in Eunice, LA, where she was raised and has lived in Bell City for the past fifty-two years. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Lady’s Altar Society. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending her time cooking for them.
Mrs. Fruge is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Walker; sons, Gerald Fruge and Larry Fruge and wife Bernadette, all of Bell City, LA; sister, Connie Leonards and husband Lloyd of Eunice, LA; grandchildren, Steven Fruge and wife Nicole, Yvette Shanughnessy and husband Tim, Shane Manuel and wife Christi, Heath Fruge and wife Kristle, Jeremy Fruge and wife Terri, and Clayton Fruge and wife Kala; and great-grandchildren, Savanna, Kayleigh, Maggie, Coy, Gage, Allie, Kate, Andrew, Mark, Logan, Collin, Justin, Samantha, and Kyle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Fruge; parents, Letia and Joseph Ledoux; son-in-law, Danny Walker; daughter-in-law, Linda Fruge; sister, JoAnn Smith; and brother, Joseph Ray Ledoux.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 4, 2016 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Emanuel Tanu will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday at the funeral home from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
