Marianne Fowler

Marianne Sigler Fowler, 78, of Lake Charles passed away at 5:07 PM, Sunday, June 9, 2013 in a local hospital.

She was a native of New Orleans and has lived in Lake Charles for the past twenty-seven years. Mrs. Fowler was a graduate of Gulfport High School in Gulfport, MS and attended Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans. She supported her husband's career with Schlumberger, before his retirement in 1986. Mrs. Fowler was an avid golfer and a dedicated tennis player. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband John Fowler; three daughters, Karen Miller and husband Pete of Ft. Collins, CO, Allison Pryor and husband Mike, and Dee Stout and husband Ronnie, and one son, Tom Fowler all of Lake Charles; eight grandchildren, John and Shane Guidry, Brittany Aaron and husband Troy, Strekker Pryor and wife Mandi, Layton Prior, Bria, Zachary, and Bransen Stout; and four great grandchildren.

Her Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Reverend John Huckaby will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation on Tuesday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM and continue Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM in the funeral home.
