Marianne Marchand

Marianne Marchand, 82, of Lake Charles, died Thursday January 1, 2015 at a local hospital following a brief illness. Ms. Marchand was a life long resident of Lake Charles. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and retired from South Central Bell as a Service Assistant in 1985 after 32 years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Joseph and Versie Hyatt Marchand and a brother, Donald Alfred Marchand. She leaves to cherish her memory a nephew, Donald James Marchand and wife Melanie, San Antonio, TX; great nieces, Megan Marchand Borrowman and husband Nathan and Alexa Marchand; great nephews, Stefan Marchand and Joshua Marchand; great-great nephew, Dalton Marchand Borrowman; all of San Antonio, TX; and a cousins Cheryl Daniels, Houston, TX; Leon Hyatt Jr., Pineville; Richard Dean Hyatt, Lake Charles, and Phillip Edward Hyatt, Lafayette. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM today, Sunday January 4, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation continues on Monday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 10:00 AM Monday January 5, 2015 at the Cathderal of the Immaculate Conception with Father Roland Vaughn serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery alongside her mother.
