Hazel Breaux

January 10, 1932 — December 7, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hazel Breaux, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on December 7, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on January 10, 1932, in Pine Island, Louisiana, Hazel spent her life devoted to her faith and her family, leaving a legacy of love and compassion.

Hazel was a proud Salutatorian of the 1950 graduating class of Grand Lake High School, a testament to her hard work and dedication. She channeled her nurturing spirit into a lifelong career as a care giver, where she touched the lives of countless children and families.  Hazel is survived by her loving children: daughters Monica Andrus and husband Darrell, Angie Granger and husband Mark, Jan Nagem and husband David, and sons Chris Breaux, Joey Breaux, and Patrick Breaux. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Dee Breaux, and her siblings, Clifford Gary, Albert Gary and wife Dolores, Charles Gary and wife Linda, Clara Granger, and Mary Elizabeth Demary and husband Eddie. Her family was her pride and joy, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was a devoted grandmother to 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
