Marie Elizabeth Young

Marie Young, 88, of Lake Charles died at 5:50 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in a local care facility with her loving family at her side.

Mrs. Young was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on November 23, 1923 to the parents of Mary and Jack LeBato. She lived in Buras, Louisiana for 25 years and worked at Delta Heritage Academy before moving to Moss Bluff, Louisiana. She worked at different businesses in the Lake Charles area including Borden's Ice Cream and Sam Houston High School. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. Marie was loved by all and was a diligent worker.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Fazende and her husband James of Lake Charles, LA, Brenda Vice and her husband Steven of Westlake, LA, Juanita Myres and her husband Bob of Carencro, LA, one son, Jack Guidry and his wife Carol of Moss Bluff, LA, two sisters, Lucille Woodman of Arizona and Rita Guidry of Baton Rouge, LA, grandchildren; Bobby Myres, Steve Myres, Ed Roberts, Brian Guidry, Kelly Guidry Jardell, John Michael Fazende, Jenna Fazende Chapman, great grandchildren; Morgan Myres, Olivia Guidry, Isabel Guidry, Amelia Guidry, Zane Wing and Macey Wing.

Marie is preceded in death by her first husband Jack Guidry, her second husband Harry Arlington Young, parents, Mary and Jack LeBato, grandson Gary Guidry, two brothers-in-law Donald Woodman and Harold Guidry.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Scott Conner will officiate. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 9:00 AM until the time of services
