Marie "Mary" E. Trahan LeBlanc, 89, of Lake Charles, LA died on Monday, August 23, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mrs. LeBlanc was born July 14, 1921 and was raised in the Lake Arthur area. She was a graduate of LaGrange High School and has lived in Lake Charles for most of her life. She worked at Weingarten's for over twenty-five years and was also a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed dearly.
Mrs. LeBlanc is survived by her daughter, Marie Elaine Blackwell and husband Ray of Alabama; sons, John LeBlanc and wife Dorothy of Lake Charles and Lawrence Kenneth "Fuzzy" LeBlanc and wife Lerisa of Port Neches, TX; ten grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren and one on-the-way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence LeBlanc; sister, Rose Lyons; three brothers; two other sisters; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Bill Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.
