Marilyn Jordan

Mrs. Marilyn Jordan passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in a Baton Rouge Hospital. She was a resident of Lake Charles for almost 60 years. She was born in Elmore, Minnesota, June 4, 1932, to Henry and Hilda Zierke.

Mrs. Jordan retired from Lake Charles Memorial Hospital as a radiology technician after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she was very active. Mrs. Jordan was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, Scott Jordan and wife Lori of Edison, New Jersey, Steve Jordan and wife Conny of Baton Rouge; one brother, Howard Zierke and wife Mae Jean of Blue Earth, MN; two grandchildren, Christopher Jordan and wife Rachel, and Julie Jordan.

Mrs. Jordan is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Jordan; parents, Henry and Hilda Zierke; brother, Merle Zierke.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 10:00AM in St. John Lutheran Church. Rev. Charles Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday in Johnson Funeral Home from 5PM-9PM. Visitation will continue Saturday in St. John Lutheran Church from 9AM until time of service.
