Marilyn Sue Westlund

Marilyn Sue Westlund, 74, of Sulphur passed from this life at her home on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Marilyn loved her husband, her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, they were her life! She also loved her cockatoo, Alex, that she raised for 25 years. Marilyn liked a good flea market and making crafts. She also liked to travel, making new friends, and gambling.  

Those left to cherish Marilyn’s memory are her husband of 42 years, Alton “Cotton” Westlund Sr.; children, Edward Lee Jr. (Gillian), Karen Skelly, Louis “Luke” Coffey, Alton “Bubba” Westlund Jr. (Stephanie), Annette Sheumaker (Henry “Tripp”), Angel Allen (John); 17 grandkids and 19 great grandkids. 

Marilyn is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Aurora; parents, Henry and Louella Busby; brothers, James, David, Larry, Ellis, Gary, and Tommy.

Funeral services for Marilyn will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with burial to follow at Dutch Cove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5 PM to 8 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home and resume on Saturday at 9 AM until time of service.
