Marion Brown Guy

Marion Ray Brown Guy, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 15, 2010, with her loved ones at her side.


Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to William Faustin and Mary Victoria Clouatre Brown, Mrs. Guy moved to Lake Charles in 1951. She worked as bookkeeper for the Food Services Department at McNeese State University for 10 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Lake Charles until 1970, when she moved to Moss Bluff and joined Moss Bluff First Baptist.


She is survived by sons, Alfred L. Guy, Jr. and wife Johnnie Sue of Indian Village; Douglas A. Guy and wife Claudine of Lake Charles; and Kent Miles Guy and wife Mandy of Sulphur; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.


Mrs. Guy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Alfred Louis Guy, Sr. and her very close friend, John Reeves.


Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010, at Johnson Funeral Home. Dr. John White will officiate. Interment will be at Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. and on Monday from 8 a.m. until service time.
