Marion Carr

Marion Elizabeth Carr, 98, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2017 in a local nursing home.  She was a nurse at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital and Holly Hill Nursing Home.  After retiring, she spent a lot of time with her nieces at Cypress sewing center.  Marion was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was a member of UMW.  She loved sewing, collecting thimbles and traveling. 

Marion is survived by her three nieces, Janet Whatley, Linda Barron and Cecilia Williams; her grandchildren, Minette Fontenot, Katherine (Kitty) Moran, Gary Guillory, Darian Guillory, Chelsa Moody and Celena Carr Myers.  She was also blessed with 11 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her children, Vivian Lantz, Frances Compton and Charles Ray Carr.

Visitation will be held at 5 PM on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Wesley United Methodist Church followed by a Memorial Service at 6 PM.
