Marion Jeanette Morris Collier, 91, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 in a local hospital. Mrs. Collier was born in Welsh, LA and has lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was an admirable woman of family and faith, devoting her life and love to her husband of sixty years, her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Collier will be greatly missed by her family and friends and her laugh will be forever remembered. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, James Drayton Collier, III and wife Karen of Lafayette; one daughter, Mary Jane Collier Hillebrandt and husband Steve of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Matthew Braden Collier of Lake Charles and Rebecca Jane Hillebrandt of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hampton Collier; son, John E. Collier; parents, Harvey Lee and Tessie Davis Morris and two sisters, Wanda Lee Rhorer and Gwen Milan. Visitation Sunday will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home. Mrs. Collier's family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to her caregiver and friend, Alyne Champagne and to the doctors, nurses and staff of Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for their kindness and excellence in care.
