Marion Reeves

January 15, 1946 — September 2, 2021

Marion Reeves, 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

She was her family’s hero. To some she was called mom, to others mimi, but her role was the same no matter what you called her. She was our rock and our unifier. It did not matter if you were related by blood or just someone who had stumbled on hard times, you were always invited to dinner. Her doors were always open to those who had found misfortune in their life. If you needed a ride, or food, or a place to stay for a while she was always just a phone call away. Today we say goodbye to the most amazing woman we have ever known. I think I speak for every person you ever helped when we say, “We hope we make you proud.”

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Pete Reeves; children, Larry Rabatie, Timothy Rabatie (Rebecca), Tammie Murillo (Patrick), Charles Q. Reeves (Janice), Ronnie Reeves (Yvonne), Connie Reeves, and David Reeves (Dena); 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren;  1 brother; and 1 sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frankie Annecharico; and sister, Dottie Camacho.

Her funeral service will be held at First Apostolic Church of Moss Bluff on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 7 p.m. Rev. Jon Hair will officiate. Burial will take place in Creel Cemetery in Reeves, LA at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Visitation will be held at the First Apostolic Church of Moss Bluff Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the start of the service.
