Marjorie Frances Moseley

October 4, 1927 — October 3, 2014

Marjorie passed away from this life to be with the Lord on Friday surrounded by her family at the age of 86. Mrs. Moseley lived most of her life in Lake Charles and found a place of service at Boulevard Baptist Church. She was a long time Sunday School teacher of first and second graders. She also worked in the after school care program at Nelson Elementary. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Left to treasure her memory is her children Gloria Foster (husband Tom) of Columbus, TX, Joan Hebert (husband Edward Earl) of Sulphur, LA, and Shelby Allen Moseley (wife Sherry) of League City, TX; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Garnet Shelby Moseley; parents, Charles and Rachel Hornsby; and seven siblings. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake Street) on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 1:00 PM until the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Todd Foster and Rev. Ronnie Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Gardens of Memory. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at Grand Cove Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and the staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for their excellence in care and compassion.
