Marjorie Savant

Marjorie Margie Savant,79 of Sulphur passed away on December 28, 2012 in a local care center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Jim Winiarski, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 5-9p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Monday at 9 a.m. until time of service. Margie worked as a nurse right out of high school. After marriage to Elridge on October 19, 1963, she was a homemaker and an Avon Consultant. When her children were grown, she was involved as a CCD Secretary at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Margie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Elridge Savant of Sulphur; two daughters, Darlene Donaldson of Lake Charles, Debra Dartez of Sulphur; son, Carroll Savant and wife, Sabrina of College Station, TX; 9 grandchildren, Mandie McDaniel, Jerad Dartez, Shawntee Dartez all of Sulphur and Jeremy, Ivan, Will, Zachary, Kaleb and Shelby Savant all of College Station, TX; and numerous great grandchildren; brother, Burnell Gotro of Pine Praire, LA; and sister, Peggy Prudhomme of Reddell, LA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Cormier.
