Mark Fontenot

August 19, 1975 — January 22, 2016

 

Mark Fontenot, 40, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 with his family

surrounding him.

 

Mark was a native of Sulphur, La. and graduated from Sulphur High School.

He was a Dual Pit Manager for the Golden Nugget and spent 20 years in the

entertainment industry. Mark had a special touch with animals and he enjoyed

hiking in the Delaware Water Gap.

 

Mark is survived by his partner, Juan Ramirez; Sister, Rhonda Fontenot;

Two Brothers; Michael (Christina Brooks) Fontenot, all of Sulphur and

Matthew Fontenot of Lubbock, Texas. Also survived by Aunts, Rachel Triemert

of Stillwater, Minnesota; Louise (Harold) Breaux of Scott, Nancy (Huey)

Spell, Cathy (Frank) Hughes of Hackberry and Uncles; Douglas (Stephenie)

Fontenot of Carlyss and Richard (Jan) Baril of Orlando, Florida. His Great

Aunt Marjorie (Henry) Ellender and Great Uncle Norbert (Pat) Vincent of

Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Along with his nieces and nephews, numerous cousins,

and a host of friends from all over the US, he loved his furry kids; Tipper,

Peanut, Laila and Little Girl.

 

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and James Fontenot;

grandparents Pete and Thelma Fontenot, Leo and Francoise Baril and brother,

David Wayne Fontenot.

 

 

Funeral services, officiated by Father Brian King, will be Monday, January

25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Johnson and Robison in Sulphur, Louisiana.

Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Mimosa

Pines South in Carlyss. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
