Marlin Edward Bright

Marlin Edward Bright, 74 of Sulphur passed away on April 14, 2014 in a local hospital. He was a life-long resident of Sulphur and graduated in 1957 from Sulphur High School.

Marlin is survived by his ex-wife, Carla Bright of Sulphur; daughters, Jana Delpapa and husband, Doug of Carlyss and Haley Bright of Sulphur; brother, Ray Bright and wife, Joyce of Port Arthur, TX; 11 grandchildren, Erika Olivier, Kayla Swinney, Megan Gonzalez, Morgan Fontenot, Taylor Fontenot, Madison Fontenot, Aley Stewart, Nathan Marotto, Lauren Delpapa, Zach Delpapa and Emily Delpapa; 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mattie Bright, daughter, Marla Faye Swinney, sister, Linda Caple and brother, Gilbert Bright.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robin Chance officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 11a.m. till 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of the service.
