Marlin Mitchell

Marlin Mitchell, 83, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 in his residence.  Mr. Mitchell was born on September 18, 1938 to James Delbert Mitchell, Sr. and Rrene West Mitchell, in Spur, Texas.  Marlin was an avid fisherman, loving grandfather and a foster parent for 28 years.  He was a carpenter, a jack of all trades and loved watching football.  He retired from Market Basket.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Marjorie Lois Hagar Mitchell; children, Rhonda Mitchell Cook (Dale), Ron Mitchell (Linda), Lisa Mitchell Johnson (Steve), Doulas Breaux, William Moss (Melissa), Rebecca Moss Miller (David) Kimberly Moss Guidry (Adam), Sheila Mitchell Sepulvado (Josh), James Mitchell, Susan Mitchell and Dustin Mitchell; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother James Delbert Mitchell, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Ann Greathouse and Mary Lou King; grandchildren, Ron Mitchell, Jr., Sarah Cook and Patricia Cook; great grandchildren, Cadence Johnson and Michael Johnson, Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October, 14, 2021 at 12:30pm at Hagar Cemetery in Ragley, La. with Rev. John White officiating.  A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00am until 12:00 noon at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.  Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.johnsonfuneralhome.net.
