Marshall Wayne Nolen, Sr.

Marshall Wayne Nolen, Sr. 75, of Lake Charles, passed away July 28, 2023 at his residence.  A native of Elizabeth, LA., Marshall was born on March 19, 1948 to Marshall and Lucinda Martin Nolen.

Marshall was a longtime resident of the Lake Charles area, he was an avid hunter, loved fishing and was always happy when he was riding his Harley-Davidson.  He retired from Citgo after 30 plus years of service, where he was the head of the Health and Safety Committee. He also worked part time in reserves of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s office in the funeral division.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Nolen, sons; Kevin Wayne Nolen and wife Darbi, Phillip David Nolen and wife Kimberly, Marshall Wayne Nolen, Jr., daughter; Cynthia Irene Nolen Churchwell, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A time of gathering and visitation will be Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605.  Funeral services will be at 10:00AM, July 31, 2023 also at Johnson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the funeral service at Prien Memorial Park.
