Martha Ann Jackson Long

Martha Ann Jackson Long peacefully passed on to her reward after facing a lengthy illness with strength and grace, A longtime resident of Maplewood, she joined the Divine Father on May 22, 2012, buoyed by the caring of her family. Her life is celebrated by her loving husband of sixty-seven years, James Charles Jake Long and by her five children: Elizabeth Robards of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; James Christopher Long of Sulphur; Mark Long of Haughton; Jonathan Mayhew Long of Denham Springs; and Rebecca Arwen Long of Seattle, Washington. She graced the lives of eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Her radiance warmed family and friends alike during her eighty-three years of life. Her gentle spirit will be dearly missed. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Shreveport, and her ashes will spread in cherished places.
