Marvin Breaux

November 23, 1951 — September 18, 2016

Marvin Joseph Breaux, 64, of Bell City, passed away surrounded by family on September 18, 2016 at his home.

 

Marvin’s passion was hunting ducks and geese. He was an outdoorsman that also loved to fish. For several years, he coached Little League in the Grand Lake area. Professionally, Marvin was a console operator and retired from Sasol North American in Westlake.  Most of all, he loved his wife of forty one precious years and his beloved family.

 

He leaves to honor his memory; his wife, Dardinella “Dee” Breaux; three sons, Bennie and wife, Dusti of Lake Charles, Travis and wife, Cora of Sweetlake, and Matthew and fiancé’, Colleen of Bell City; six grandchildren, Ashley McChesney and husband, Clint of Arkansas, Ty Breaux of Lake Charles, Gage Breaux of West Lake, Grant Breaux of Lake Charles, Jase Breaux of Elizabeth, LA, and Olivia Breaux of Sweetlake; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Clayton; mother Hazel Breaux of Holmwood, LA; three brothers, Chris Breaux of Holmwood, Joey Breaux of Brusly, and Patrick Breaux of Iowa; three sisters, Janet Nagem and husband, David of Moss Bluff, Monica Andrus and husband, Darrell or Hayes, and Angela Granger and husband, Mark of Hackberry; and a host of nieces and nephews.

 

Mr. Breaux is preceded in death by child, Leslie Frances Breaux; brother, Joseph Lee Breaux; granddaughter, Chelci Reed; and father, J.C. Breaux Sr.

 

A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Noon at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bell City, LA. Father Emanuel Tanu will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Bertrand Cemetery in Hathaway, LA. Visitation will begin at 4PM on Wednesday, September 21 until 9PM at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. The rosary will be prayed at 6:30PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday at 9AM until 11:30AM.
