Mary Alice Cormier Ardoin

Mary Alice Cormier Ardoin, 77, of Lake Charles passed away at 11:12 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024 in a New Orleans hospital.

Mrs. Ardoin, born on January 1, 1947, in Lafayette, was raised in the Scott area before marrying and relocating to Lake Charles. A devoted member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, she spent her leisure time indulging in her passion for sewing.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of more than 50 years, Joseph Nolan Ardoin of Lake Charles; daughter, Sandy Fuller of Westlake; son, Christopher “Chris” Ardoin (Sofia Nguyen) of Houston; and a sister, Phyllis Newman (Shannon) of Harrahan, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Ernest Cormier.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 24, 2024 at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Prabhaka Kowtiki will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 8:30 AM until leaving for the church at 9:30 AM.
