Mary Comeaux, 84, of Lake Charles died on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in a local care facility.
Mrs. Comeaux was born on August 23, 1927 to Joseph and Zula Benoit. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and also a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed gardening and animals, especially animals. Mrs. Comeaux was extremely giving and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Thomas Comeaux and partener Jean of Minneapolis, MN; two daughters, Barbara C. Broussard and husband Jerriel of Kaplan and Charlene C. Langley and husband Gerald of Kinder; one brother, Armand Benoit of Lake Charles; three sisters, Gernice Conner of Lake Charles, Vina Melton and husband John of Longville, and Linda LaFleur and husband John L. of Bell City; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Comeaux; a son, Robert Allen Comeaux; one daughter, Denise Tanner; one brother, Joseph Benoit; one sister, Ella Mae Johnson; and grandson, Jerald C. "J.C." Langley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 24, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
