Mary Bertha Fontenot

Mary Bertha Reviere Fontenot, 90, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 in a local healthcare facility.

Mrs. Fontenot was born, raised and educated in Church Point, LA and has lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She enjoyed reading and afternoon coffee with friends. She also loved spoiling and caring for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.

Mrs. Fontenot will be most remembered for homemade Chocolate Birthday cakes, as she made one for the birthday of every family member and friend.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Johnny Fontenot and wife Twilla of Heath, TX; one daughter, Linda Thibodeaux and husband Herbert of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Savannah Hill and husband Brady of Rockwall, TX, Jordon Fontenot of College Station, TX, Brandy Williams and husband Scott of Lake Charles and Shandi Thibodeaux and of Lake Charles; three great-grandchildren, Michael Thibodeaux and Joseph and Abigail Williams; one brother, Jerry Reviere of Eunice; one sister, Gloria Ardoin of Eunice; brother-in-law, Vernon Miller of Eunice; many nieces and nephews and her dear friends, Sue Daigle and Virgie Texada, both of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Jimmie Lee Fontenot; one brother, Horace Reviere and two sisters, Pearlie Daigle and Dorothy Miller.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Tuesday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service with a rosary service at 11:00 AM.
