Mary Adelle Langley, 78, of Lake Charles, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, at a local hospice facility. Mary was born in Lacassine, LA. on December 27, 1945, to John and Rena Daigle and was a lifelong resident of the Southwest Louisiana area.
Mary’s life was simple but full. Her love for fishing and cooking was only surpassed by her love for her family.
In her 78 years of life, she cooked for the Calcasieu Parish School Board, offshore drilling rigs, and was a chef for Coushatta and Lauberge Du Lac.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Joseph Guy Derouen and wife Devaney, Kemble Derouen, sisters; Katherine Roshto, Judy Richard, Linda Arthur, brother; Charles Daigle, grandchildren; Jennifer Plasencio and Hank Plasencio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Norman Langley, brothers; John Daigle, George Daigle, Claude Daigle and Arthur Lee Daigle.
Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 6:00PM, Monday, February 19, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Visitation will continue Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 9:00AM until funeral services at 10:00AM also at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Green Oaks Cemetery in Kinder, LA.
