Mary Elizabeth Hollingsworth

Mary Elizabeth Hollingsworth, 74, of Sulphur passed on December 10, 2022 in a local hospital. Mary enjoyed spending time with her Golden Girls, taking selfies, going camping and face book. She loved to shop, watch her grandkids sporting events, fishing, and eating crawfish with Andrew. Mary’s favorite pass times were watching CNN and Fox News, daily. She also enjoyed going to Vegas and looking good with her nails polished and her make-up on.

Mary is survived by her two children, Carrie Hollingsworth (Joe DeKeyzer)  and Mark Bryan Hollingsworth (Denise) all of Sulphur; grandchildren, Clinton Busby (Brittany), Cody Busby (Paige), Claire Vincent (Will Baty) all of Sulphur, Kaitlyn Hollingsworth Hooper (Ryan), Andrew Hollingsworth (Kennedi) all of Moss Bluff, and Matthew Hollingsworth of California; 7 great grandchildren, Peyton Hooper, Harlee Hooper, Emery Hooper, Hudson Rains, Pierce Busby, Dani Kate Busby and Weston Busby; and  brother, Vincent Joseph Abate, Jr. (Eva) of Lake Charles.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rodney Hollingsworth; parents, Mary Lipari Abate and Vincent Joseph Abate; father-in-law, Bruce Hollingsworth; mother-in-law, Maxine Harris; and niece, Allison Hollingsworth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 12 P.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss with Father Luke Krzanowski, MS officiating. Burial will be held at Prien Memorial Cemetery following the service under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 5-8 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue, on Thursday at 9 A.M. until time of leaving for the church.

Pall bearers will be Clinton Busby, Cody Busby, Andrew Hollingsworth, Matthew Hollingsworth, Ryan Hooper, Ryan Abate and Peyton Hooper.
